Sheppard Recycling is proposing a comprehensive plan for recycling and disposal of C.and D. Debris for the Charleston area.
The proposal is to build a Recycling plant in a central location and then truck the recycled materials to a new landfill off Highway 17 about 20 miles south of Charleston.
This system could really help in eliminating the need to raise the height at Bees Ferry landfill and would reduce truck traffic on Bees Ferry Rd and Glenn McConnell Pkwy.
