Verdier Pointe.

A new development, with up to 468 homes, is proposed for the area, adjacent to Grand Oaks and opposite Sanders Road, on Bees Ferry Road.

The development will have three sections.

There will be a Commercial Village District along the front , shown in red in this map.

This section will have Shops and Offices, Drug Stores and Restaurants, some with apartments and living quarters on the second floor.

The section shown in orange will have multifamily apartments and condominiums with up to 304 units.

The final section, in yellow, will be up to 124 single family homes.

The completed development, will include ponds and conservation areas, dark green, with walking trails and footpaths, shown dotted, throughout. Several parks , shown in light green, are included.
The city has been working with developers to ensure that the new developments would be connected to one another so that people could travel between homes, shops, schools and parks using neighborhood streets.
